Biscovey Academy has been recognised nationally for the work it does for its pupils' mental health. Out of hundreds of schools nominated up and down the country, Biscovey is crowned top in the 'Inspirational Educators for Mental Health' category.

The school was nominated for the award by TIS UK for the work they do with curriculum and children who have experienced various levels of trauma.  Head of School, Joshua Tyers comments, " We are incredibly proud of this award as it rubber stamps the journey we have been on as a school. To be seen as one of the best in the country when it comes to supporting children's mental health, is a real privilege."

Both Mr Tyers and fellow Biscovey colleague, Trauma-Informed Lead Simon Kessell, attended a gala event at the Merchant Taylors Hall in London on 19th April.  Huge congratulations to the Biscovey team for putting mental health in the heart of everything they do!
